STUDENT LUNCHES
have resumed! The sign-up sheet for this semester is in the Narthex.
Please take a moment after worship today to select a date for hosting a
lunch.
2011
FLOWER CHART is in the narthex. Bouquets are $15 each. Please pay for your
flowers when you signup so we don’t have a deficit in our flower fund.
Place your check in a separate envelope and mark it for FLOWERS and the
date they are to be on the altar. This will help us keep track and make
sure the correct account is credited. Thanks for all who place flowers
on our altar. Also, please check and make sure that you paid for any
flowers for 2009 as our account is still in a deficit. Thank you.
Jesus and Me and Baby Makes 3!
If you have a child or grandchild between the ages of
birth - 2 years, we would love to have you join us on
Sunday mornings between 9:45-10:30 a.m. in the nursery room! We enjoy sharing age-appropriate devotions,
activities, advice, and the and the love of Jesus with each other. Come
and grow with us!
KENT
SOCIAL SERVICES FOOD DONATIONS
Women of Faith are coordinating donations to Kent Social Services for
their food pantry. A basket is in the Narthex for donations. Suggested
items include — macaroni and cheese (Kraft, etc.), ramen noodles, any
hamburger, chicken or tuna helpers, toilet paper and paper towels.
All donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted but the
above mentioned items are ones that are given out on a regular basis.
Once a month the donations will be taken to Kent Social Services for
distribution to those in need.
BIRTHDAY CARDS
Faith Lutheran members continue to send birthday cards monthly to
residents of three nursing homes: St. Luke Lutheran Community in N.
Canton, Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve in Westlake, and The Woodlands
in Ravenna. If you are not already sending cards and would be willing to
do so, please contact Ruth White at 330-673-5500 or e-mail her at
rwhite015@neo.rr.com. There is a large supply of computer-generated
cards available that either Jan Downey or Ruth made. They are located in
the file cabinet to the far right of the door to the pastor’s office.
CHURCH MOUSE
The church mouse box on the table in the narthex needs some happy
thoughts in order to thrive. If you see or know of a good deed that
happens around the church, please write about it and put it in the
church mouse box for publication in the next newsletter. Only good
thoughts please, no criticisms. Let’s build people up by praising the
good deeds of our members and friends.
